The Origin of YurrrP!!!
The YurrrP phrase began in 2001 while playing SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs online. Comprised of my good friends, we called ourselves the SOLDIERS UNIT.
We all wore headphones with a mic to chat and work as a team during the online game, which is vital in online gaming and, of course, victory. I wasn’t the best player, but I had the best time.

In this one particular session, I was the best player and carried the entire team. My friends could not believe their eyes, and to be honest, neither could I.
As the finale approached, I looked at the score and realized that I’m the Top Player. My team will achieve victory, and my emotions took over. Out of nowhere, I blurted out with this long, drawn-out word of “YurrrP!!!!!”
I was both hyped and happy with finally having a great game! When I yelled YurrrP, everyone in the room (32 people including my teammates) became quiet for a couple of seconds.
Then someone suddenly said: “WHAT WAS THAT?!?”
Everyone erupted in laughter! Someone said, “That was MILK D!” and the whole room started yelling, “YurrrP!”
Here we are 20 years later. “YurrrP” is still growing with the development of YurrrP Radio!

I first fell in love with DJing when I was 11 years old thanks to my big brother Double-D.
The basement in our South Jersey home was perfect for loud music or, as we called it, ROCKIN DA HOUSE! YurrrP!!!

I first fell in love with DJing when I was 11 years old thanks to my big brother Double-D.
The basement in our South Jersey home was perfect for loud music or, as we called it, ROCKIN DA HOUSE! YurrrP!!!
Double-D had two turntables, mixer, headphones with mic, thumping speakers! We would hop the train and head to Philly to grab all our 12" vinyl records (or WAX) and then back to the LAB to Rock Da House! These are priceless memories to me to this day!
As a DJ and entertainer, I believe music is healing. Music is life. Music is universal because everyone can relate to music in some way.
I absolutely love DJing! Like they say: When You Love What You Do It Never Feels Like Work!
While DJing in a venue, I see people dancing, laughing, and having a good time. It makes me feel really good inside. Why? I feel like I’m changing lives, even if it’s for a few hours.
